      JUNIOR  OLYMPIAD

When
Saturday, August 28, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Medals awarded at 3:00 p.m.

What
Kids can enter the following events as many times as desired (assuming no-one is waiting for first round) in an effort to improve scores.

  • Obstacle Course:A fun and easy timed skill event of running, jumping, climbing, sliding and crawling through a series of obstacles. A must for any competitive lad or lass!
     
  • Baseball Accuracy Throw: See how many baseballs you can throw through the target!  Speed not considered.
     
  • Basketball Shoot: Sink as many of your 10 shots as possible. A standard height hoop used for older kids (8 years and up) and lower height basket for younger kids. Ties broken by shoot-off. Accuracy is important!
     
  • 50-Yard Dash: What else? A race against the clock!
     
  • Long Jump: See how far you can jump.  Best of three tries.
     
  • Mountain Bike Sprints: See how fast you can complete our mountain bike course.

A great family event covering a mile-long run through the Resort ending at the Beach.

When
Saturday, August 28 at 9:00 a.m.

What
All swimmers timed individually. Three fastest times in each age category win medals. Three different course lengths, depending an age group:

  • 100 meter short course for Group 1
  • 200 meter medium course for Group 2
  • 400 meter long course for Group 3

All swimmers will be monitored by EMS rescue boat.

Who
Group 1: Ages 12 and under
Group 2: ages 13-19; age 65+
Group 3: Ages 20-34; 35-49; 50-64

 

 

 

KAYAK SPRINTS

When
Saturday, August 28, starting at 9:00 a.m.

What
Three fastest times in each age category win medals. Two different course lengths, depending on age group:

   1 mile course for Group 1

   2 mile course for Group 2

Recreational kayaks, paddles and life jackets provided.

No refunds given.  This event goes rain or shine.  In case of lightening, we will delay the start.
