Since 2005, the Hickory Nut Gorge Olympiad has been
committed to helping the communities around us, not
only financially, but also physically and
emotionally. Bringing people together for the
purpose of health and wellness for all makes our annual sports festival unique.
In a time of
increasing childhood obesity, overworked employees
and fast-paced lifestyles, the Olympiad offers an
outlet where people can take a weekend to heal their
minds, bodies and spirits.
All net
proceeds of the Olympiad are contributed directly to
our beneficiaries. The Olympiad strives to support
charities who do not see the financial reward of
being part of a national nonprofit. We reach out to
smaller organizations who equally invest a
tremendous amount of time and energy into caring for
and improving the communities around us.
